1. Of the Holy Trinity

Collect:
Almighty God, who hast revealed to thy Church thine eternal Being of glorious majesty and perfect love as one God in Trinity of Persons: Give us grace to continue steadfast in the confession of this faith, and constant in our worship of the, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; for you live and reign, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

First Lesson: Exodus 3:11-15
But Moses said to God, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?"

And God said, "I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain."

Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?"

God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob--has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation."

Second Lesson: Romans 11:33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom andI knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
"Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?"
"Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay him?"
For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Psalm: 29

  1. Ascribe to the LORD, you gods, *
    ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
  2. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his Name; *
    worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
  3. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters;
    the God of glory thunders; *
    the LORD is upon the mighty waters.
  4. The voice of the LORD is a powerful voice; *
    the voice of the LORD is a voice of splendor.
  5. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedar trees; *
    the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon;
  6. He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, *
    and Mount Hermon like a young wild ox.
  7. The voice of the LORD splits the flames of fire;
    the voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; *
    the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
  8. The voice of the LORD makes the oak trees writhe *
    and strips the forests bare.
  9. And in the temple of the LORD *
    all are crying, "Glory!"
  10. The LORD sits enthroned above the flood; *
    the LORD sits enthroned as King for evermore.
  11. The LORD shall give strength to his people; *
    the LORD shall give his people the blessing of peace.

Gospel: Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
